Ban on fluorescent lamps comes in 2023
Due to the new RoHS Directive, according to which lamps and light sources have been subjected to stricter energy efficiency regulations, compact fluorescent lamps and most linear fluorescent lamps are now being phased out. These may no longer be placed on the market from 2023. According to the ElektroG, discarded fluorescent lamps must be disposed of separately at a collection point.
